Moneypenny's Lock House

Moneypenny's Lock House is an important site on the Newry Portadown Canal. A visitor to the site can capture the life of a lock keeper and the lightermen who operated the locks on the canal. The bothy and stables from the original building is now in use as a fully functional blacksmith's workshop which offers classes in metal working and traditional smithing skills.

Open Sat/Sun/Bank holidays

April to Sep Monday afternoons 2 - 5pm
